1. Who is covered
This warranty is provided by TV Mounts Canada (“we”, “us”) to the original end user of a new product purchased directly from us, either on tvmountscanada.com or through a direct order, quote or invoice with our team, and to anyone who received the product from them as a gift.
- Homes and businesses alike. Products bought for offices, schools, hospitals, restaurants, gyms, government and other commercial or institutional use get the same 1-year coverage as home use.
- Gifts. If you received a product as a gift, you can make a claim using the original order number.
- Bought for resale? Products bought from us for resale are covered by your dealer or supply agreement with us.
- Bought somewhere else? North Bayou products bought from another retailer or marketplace are covered by that seller’s warranty or return policy, so please contact them first. We’re still happy to help identify parts or answer installation questions.
- Not covered: products bought used, second-hand or through an auction, and products whose model or serial labels have been removed or altered.
2. Coverage period
- Coverage lasts 1 year from the date of delivery, as shown by the carrier’s tracking. If tracking doesn’t show a delivery date, we’ll use the delivery or pickup date on your invoice, or the date you tell us it arrived if that’s reasonable.
- Your claim must be reported to us within the 1-year period. The date of your first email to us is the date that counts, even if we finish handling the claim after the period ends.
- A replacement product or part is covered for the rest of the original period or 90 days from its delivery, whichever is longer.
- Replacing a part or product does not restart the full 1-year period.
- This warranty applies to products purchased on or after November 3, 2026. Products bought earlier are covered by the terms in effect when they were bought. If something goes wrong, contact us anyway and we’ll do our best to help.
3. What’s covered
We cover defects in materials and workmanship that appear under normal use, when the product has been assembled, installed and used according to its instructions and within its listed size, weight and VESA limits. For example:
- Bent, cracked or broken brackets, arms, plates, poles or frames that weren’t caused by an impact or overloading
- Failed welds, rivets or factory-assembled joints, including factory joints that come loose
- Tilt, swivel, extension, height-adjustment and locking mechanisms that don’t work as designed
- Defective hardware supplied in the box, such as bolts, washers, spacers and wall anchors
- Peeling or flaking paint, powder coat or other finish that isn’t caused by damage
- Electrical components that stop working, such as motors, control boxes, handsets and built-in USB or audio ports (see Coverage by product)
4. Coverage by product
Every product type below has the same 1-year coverage. These notes explain what is and isn’t covered for each type, and which common issues are adjustments rather than defects.
TV wall mounts
Including the NBC2-F, NBC3-F, NBC2-T, DF70-T, DF80-T, P4, P6, Emmy SP200, Emmy DF400, Emmy DF600, F300 and F450.
- Covered: wall plates, arms, TV brackets, tilt and swivel joints, automatic locking adapters, release straps and supplied mounting hardware.
- Usually an adjustment, not a defect: a TV that’s slightly off-level (most mounts have post-installation level adjustment), or a tilt or swivel that feels too loose or too stiff (tension can be adjusted with the supplied tools).
- Not covered: damage caused by mounting into drywall alone, into an unsuitable wall, or with hardware that wasn’t designed for your wall type.
TV ceiling mounts
Including the NBT560-15 and T5520.
- Covered: ceiling plates, telescopic poles, height stops, tilt and swivel mechanisms, TV brackets and supplied hardware.
- Not covered: damage caused by attaching the mount to a ceiling structure that can’t safely carry the load. We strongly recommend professional installation for every ceiling mount.
Gas-spring monitor arms
Including the F80, F85A, F45, F150, F160 and H180.
- Covered: gas springs that can no longer hold a display within the listed weight range after the tension has been adjusted as shown in the manual; arms, joints, VESA plates, desk clamps and grommet mounts; and built-in USB or audio ports.
- Usually an adjustment, not a defect: an arm that slowly rises or drops. Gas springs are set for a weight range, and the tension needs to be adjusted to match your monitor. We’re happy to walk you through it.
- Not covered: damage to desks from clamping (please check that your desk is thick and strong enough), monitors outside the listed weight range, and devices plugged into the built-in ports.
Sit-stand workstations and desk converters
Including the FC35-B, FC40, ST15, ST15-2A and ST15-3A.
- Covered: lift and counterbalance mechanisms, gas springs, keyboard platforms, monitor mounts, clamps, bases and built-in USB connections.
- Not covered: damage caused by loading the work surface or monitor mounts beyond their listed limits, or by leaning or sitting on the keyboard platform.
TV carts and mobile stands
Including the AVA1500-60-1P, AVA1800-70-1P, AVF1500-50-1P, AVF1800-70-1P and TW100.
- Covered: bases, poles and columns, TV brackets, height-adjustment parts, camera trays, AV shelves, casters and caster brakes.
- Not covered: tipping or damage caused by overloading, uneven floors, or moving a loaded cart over stairs, curbs, door thresholds, steep ramps or rough outdoor ground. Tipping caused by a defective caster, brake or base is covered. Normal caster wear and marks left on floors aren’t covered.
Motorized TV cart (TW100) and electric standing desk (Ljubljana)
The TV cart notes above also apply to the TW100.
- Covered: motors, linear actuators, control boxes, handsets and memory controllers, power cords supplied with the product, frames and columns, and manufacturing defects in the desktop such as a peeling surface finish.
- Not covered: damage caused by power surges, lightning, the wrong voltage or a power supply that wasn’t supplied with the product; liquid spills; loads beyond the listed capacity; and warping or swelling of the desktop from moisture, heat or direct sunlight.
Accessories
Including the G200 AV cabinet and EM-1188-B HDMI cable.
- Covered: cabinet body, door, hinges and lock; and HDMI cables that fail because of a manufacturing defect.
- Not covered: lost keys; cables with bent, crushed or forced connectors, cuts, kinks or pet damage; and compatibility problems with other equipment.
5. What we’ll do
If we confirm your product has a covered defect, we’ll choose the most suitable fix:
- Send a replacement part, such as a bracket, gas spring, caster, hardware pack or control box; or
- Replace the product with the same model. If that model is no longer available, we’ll replace it with a comparable current model that fits your screen and supports at least the same weight, which may differ in colour or finish; or
- Refund the price you paid for that product, including taxes, if a repair or replacement isn’t practical.
- Shipping replacements: we pay standard shipping on replacement parts and products to addresses in Canada and the United States. For United States addresses, we’ll let you know before shipping if any customs duties or brokerage fees apply.
- Sending items back: sometimes we’ll need the faulty product or part returned so we can inspect it or send it back to the manufacturer. If we ask for it, we’ll give you a claim number and the return address. You pay the return shipping. Please pack it securely and use a tracked shipping service, because we can’t be responsible for items lost or damaged on the way to us. For returns from the United States, we’ll provide the customs paperwork you need. Please don’t send anything back without a claim number.
- When we ship the replacement: as soon as we’ve confirmed the defect. If we’ve asked for the item back, we may wait until we’ve received it.
- If we don’t need it back, we’ll tell you how to dispose of or recycle it.
- If no defect is found, we’ll explain what we found and suggest a fix. If you sent the item to us, we’ll return it at your cost or, with your permission, recycle it. If we don’t hear from you within 30 days, we’ll recycle it.
- After the warranty ends, we can usually supply replacement parts such as gas springs, control boxes, casters and hardware packs at a cost.
6. What’s not covered
This warranty covers the product itself. It doesn’t cover the following. If a defect in our product causes other damage, your legal rights still apply (see Your legal rights).
Other property and costs
- Damage to TVs, monitors, computers or other equipment, walls, ceilings, floors, desks or furniture
- Installation, removal or reinstallation costs, installer or contractor fees, and wall or ceiling repairs
- Indirect costs such as lost time, lost business or income, and travel
Installation and use
- Damage caused by installation that didn’t follow the product’s instructions
- Damage caused by mounting to a surface that can’t safely carry the load, such as drywall alone, or by using hardware not suited to your wall or ceiling type
- Damage caused by exceeding the listed screen size, weight, VESA pattern or load capacity
- Damage caused by bolts or screws you installed that were over-tightened, under-tightened or not retightened as the instructions direct (factory-assembled joints that come loose are covered)
- A product that doesn’t fit your TV, monitor, desk or space (please use our 30-day return policy instead)
Damage and wear
- Normal wear and tear, such as scratches, scuffs and gradual fading from use or cleaning (peeling or flaking finish that isn’t caused by damage is covered)
- Accidents, drops, impacts, misuse, abuse or neglect
- Damage caused by hanging, climbing, leaning or sitting on a product, or by using it to support anything other than its intended equipment
- Damage caused by modifying the product (for example drilling, cutting, welding, bending or painting it) or by parts that weren’t supplied by us or North Bayou
- Damage caused by repairs or disassembly by anyone other than us, except where we’ve asked you to replace a part
Environment
- Outdoor use, or use in damp, wet or corrosive places such as bathrooms, saunas, pool areas, kitchens exposed to steam or coastal sites, unless the product is described as suitable for that use
- Rust or corrosion caused by moisture, chemicals or harsh cleaning products
- Fire, flood, water damage, lightning, power surges, pests, extreme temperatures and other events beyond our control
Purchases and shipping
- Products bought used or second-hand, from another seller, or with model or serial labels removed or altered
- Products shipped to or used outside Canada and the United States
- Shipping costs to send a product or part back to us for a warranty claim (shipping damage and missing parts are handled differently, see section 9)
7. Care and maintenance
- Follow the instructions that came with your product, and keep them in case you move or reinstall it.
- Check the wall or ceiling first. Mount into wood studs, solid concrete or solid masonry using hardware suited to that surface. If you’re unsure, use a professional installer. We strongly recommend one for ceiling mounts, large or heavy TVs and commercial installations.
- Stay within the limits. Each product page lists its screen size, weight and VESA limits.
- Check it regularly. We recommend checking every 6 months that bolts and screws are tight, nothing is bent or cracked, and the product still feels secure.
- Keep your order number. It’s on your confirmation email or invoice.
- Moving house? Coverage continues if you reinstall the product following its instructions.
8. How to make a claim
- Make it safe. If the product looks damaged or unstable, stop using it. If it’s safe to do so, carefully remove the TV or monitor with help from another person.
-
Email us at service@tvmountscanada.com with:
- Your order number (or invoice or PO number for business orders), name and shipping address
- The product model, for example P6 or F80
- What’s wrong and when it started
- Clear photos or a short video of the problem, the model label, and the installation, including the wall, ceiling or desk and the hardware used
- The make, model, screen size and weight of the TV or monitor you’re mounting
- We’ll reply, usually within one business day. We may suggest an adjustment first, since many issues can be fixed in minutes.
- We’ll confirm the fix. If it’s covered, we’ll send the replacement part or product, or arrange a refund (see What we’ll do). If we need the item back, we’ll send you a claim number and return instructions.
9. Arrived damaged or with missing parts
Shipping damage and missing parts are handled separately from the warranty, and at no cost to you.
- Tell us within 60 days of delivery. The sooner the better, as it helps us with carrier claims.
- Send photos of the outer box, the packaging and the damaged product, or the parts list showing what’s missing.
- Please keep the box and packaging until we’ve resolved it.
- We’ll send the missing parts or a replacement at our cost. If we need the damaged item back, we’ll arrange and pay for the return.
10. Returns vs. warranty
If you’ve changed your mind, ordered the wrong size or the product doesn’t fit your setup, that’s a return, not a warranty claim. Unused products in new condition and in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days. See our return and exchange policy for details.
The warranty is for products that develop a defect during normal use, within 1 year of delivery.
11. Safety first
- TV mounts, ceiling mounts and carts hold heavy equipment. Incorrect installation or overloading can cause the product to fail and lead to serious injury or property damage.
- Never exceed the listed weight or size limits, and never hang from, climb on or lean on a mount, arm, cart or desk.
- Lock the caster brakes whenever a cart is parked, and move carts slowly on flat, level floors.
- Leave enough cable slack for full-motion mounts and arms to move without pulling on cables.
- Keep children away from carts and mounted screens, and don’t let them climb on furniture under a mounted TV.
- If anything looks bent, cracked, loose or unstable, stop using the product and contact us.
12. Your legal rights
- Your rights under the law come first. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from province to province and state to state. Nothing in this warranty excludes, limits or replaces any right you have under consumer protection or sale of goods laws.
- For consumers in Quebec: in addition to this warranty, the Consumer Protection Act (CQLR, c. P-40.1) gives you a legal warranty. Goods must be fit for the purposes for which goods of that kind are ordinarily used (section 37) and durable in normal use for a reasonable length of time, having regard to their price, the terms of the contract and the conditions of their use (section 38). This legal warranty has no fixed time limit and can continue to apply after this 1-year warranty ends.
- Indirect losses. Except where the law doesn’t allow it, this warranty doesn’t cover indirect, incidental or consequential losses. This doesn’t limit any right you have under consumer protection or sale of goods laws, including for damage or injury caused by a defective product. Some provinces and states don’t allow this limit, so it may not apply to you. It doesn’t apply to consumers in Quebec.
- Governing law. This warranty is governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you’re a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protections of the laws where you live.
- Changes. We may update this warranty for future purchases. Your purchase is covered by the version in effect on the date you bought it.
- Your information. We use the details and photos you send us only to handle your claim, as described in our privacy policy.
- If any part of this warranty can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
13. Questions
Do I need to register my product?
No. Your order number is all you need.
My monitor arm keeps drifting up or down. Is it defective?
Usually not. Gas springs need to be adjusted to your monitor’s weight. Follow the tension steps in your manual, or email us and we’ll walk you through it. If the arm still can’t hold a monitor within its listed weight range, it’s covered.
My TV isn’t perfectly level.
Most of our mounts have a level adjustment after installation. Check your manual, or send us a photo and we’ll help.
I lost some screws or hardware. Can you help?
Yes. We can usually send replacement hardware. Missing hardware reported within 60 days of delivery is free. For hardware that was lost after that, we’ll tell you the cost before shipping.
Does the warranty cover my TV?
No. This warranty covers the product you bought from us, not the equipment mounted on it. Your rights under the law still apply.
Will you pay for an installer?
No. Installation, removal and reinstallation costs aren’t covered.
I bought for my business or school. Am I covered?
Yes. Commercial and institutional buyers get the same 1-year coverage as home buyers. For large project orders, include your invoice or PO number with your claim.
My model has been discontinued. What happens?
We’ll replace it with a comparable current model that fits your screen and supports at least the same weight. If that isn’t possible, we’ll refund the price you paid.
I live in the United States. Am I covered?
Yes, if you bought from us. We ship replacements to addresses in Canada and the United States.
What if the replacement also has a problem?
Replacements are covered for the rest of your original warranty or 90 days from their delivery, whichever is longer.
